Bluetooth Marketing
Mobile content can be deployed direct to phones using a combination of hardware (known as an Access Point or Node), which can be sited at a wide variety of locations, and software to manage the mobile content on these Nodes.
Through a “call to action” - usually via a poster, a screen or other signage, users are prompted to turn on Bluetooth on their phones and to make their phone “discoverable”. Once they have done so, the Node will detect the phone and send an “opt-in” request. If the user accepts this request, the Node will commence sending content to the phone.
Bluetooth - What type of content
The content deployed can be as simple as a text file or a still image, or richer forms of media such as –
- Animated Images
- Ringtones
- Audio files
- Video clips
- Mobile websites
- Applications
